Hummus
Hummus
from Ellen's kitchen with thanks to epicuriousIngredients:
- 2 cups (about 1 1/2 cans) canned chickpeas, drained, with liquid reserved
- 1/2 cup tahini (sesame paste)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- salt and pepper
- 1 tbs cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- juice of 1 lemon (might want more)
Put:
- all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth, adding as much reserved chickpea liquid as needed for right consistency. Season to taste. Add more lemon juice and olive oil until satisfied with flavors.
