Butterscotch Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat:
  • oven to 350.  Grease 8 inch square baking pan.
In:
  • large bowl, mix butter and sugar.  Add egg and vanilla.  
In:
  • separate bowl, mix flour, walnuts, baking powder, and salt.  Slowly mix two together, stirring until well blended.  Spread evenly into prepared pan.
Bake:
  • 20-24 minutes, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
